Call Me a Foamer
Clinchfield No.800 crosses Pool Point with a CSX Santa Train in tow as the rising sun illuminates the early morning clouds near the Kentucky/Virginia border. While most of my non-railfan friends, coworkers and family (Dad excluded) wonder why I drive all night to far away parts of the country sometimes without sleep to shoot pictures of trains, I find it hard to explain my reasoning other than it's my hobby and I enjoy it. However there are times I know without question, and seeing former Clinchfield 800 pull out of Pool Point Tunnel onto the famous bridge reminded me that it's these moments that make me come back time an again.
