Why Bother?
Every parent comes to this realization at some point or another...
You buy the kid the expensive toys or the "Baby Stephen Hawking" DVDs
or whatever, but what the kid REALLY wants to play with is the
cardboard box or the ribbon wrapping the present.
In our case, Millie got a very fancy present in the mail. She showed
very little interest in the present itself, but the crumpled paper
cushioning the present in its oversized box... well, that was another
story.
