One Person MW in the City

Less than three months after the conversion of Bristol Joint Services service 83 to one person operation using Bristol RELLs from the country fleet, country services Bristol MW5G 2955, 975DAE, unusually operates a service 83 journey. 2955 was at that time based at Lawrence Hill depot (note the destination display brackets, indicating that it was a City Centre Circle bus) and had probably been substituted on the breakdown of an RE, especially as service 83 operated very close to the company's Lawrence Hill depot. 2955 had started out as a 41-seat dual purpose vehicle and later that year would be painted into the brighter one man livery. April 3rd. 1969.
