Oop north...
Bristol Omnibus Company's used buses found a ready second home, many of them in the north of England, presumably having passed through the dealer Norths, who was based near Leeds. Former Bristol Joint Services C8319, UHY359, a 1955 Bristol KSW6B with ECW 60 seat open platform body, is seen here on September 11th 1974 at Newton Aycliffe with Voy of that town. The bus survives today with The Bristol Omnibus Vehicle Collection - www.bristolbuses.co.uk - although it has yet to be restored: sister buses C8320 and C8322 are restored and often appear at rallies in the Bristol area.
One wonders what the "northern" passengers made of the fact thatb the bus was never fitted with a passenger heater!
