Blacksmith's Gate I

(Dutch: Smedenpoort) One of the city gates to Bruges. The first Blacksmith’s Gate dates from 1297-1299, built during the construction of the second ring of ramparts. The current gate was built on the remains of the old one in 1367.

At the far left is a new pedestrian bridge.
