Car for Police Dogs

Everyone deserves to ride safely and comfortably in a Volvo - police dogs too. The Duett was Volvo's first estate car and the first to be adapted for police dogs (you can see one looking out the window at the back). The car features an extra partition in the cargo area, allowing the dog and other equipment to be unloaded separately.

This Duett from 1967 served as a police car in Karlshamn, Blekinge. As extra equipment it includes a flashlight mounted under the hood. The car is a part of an exhibition at the "World of Volvo".

One part of the building "World of Volvo" is a museum - the Volvo history of cars, trucks and buses since the very first Volvo left the factory in Gothenburg in 1927. Another part is a big exhibition about the present and the future, with funny activities in connection with Volvo, to do for the whole family. There is also a restaurant and a café. The building opened to the public in 2024.
