Rune Stone
Rune Stone from the 11th century. This stone was set up by Tola in memory of her son.
The inscription reads:
They fared like men far after gold
and in the east gave the eagle food
They died southward in Serkland
"Give the eagle food" means to "kill enemies". Serkland is "the Saracens land".
