Hanami II

Hanami ("flower viewing") is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers, in this case almost always refer to those of the sakura ("cherry"). In modern-day Japan, hanami mostly consists of having an outdoor party beneath the sakura during daytime or at night.

This cherry tree is a Prunus x yedoensis (Swedish: Tokyokörsbär). It is a hybrid born in Japan and one of its cultivars, is one of the most popular and widely planted cherry cultivars in temperate regions around the world today.
