"Rug No. 83"
(Swedish: "Matta nr 83") Artwork made in 2010 by Swedish artist Jonathan Josefsson (born 1978). Josefsson has his artistic roots in graffiti culture, where, as "Ollie", he has mede an imprint in public space for close to a decade. After studying at HDK he continued to experiment with materials and shapes, further developing his painting in the field of textiles. It is often characterised by a playful flow of geometric shapes and figures. Like graffiti, "Rug No. 83" is in sharp contrast to its surrounding environment and grows organically out into the gallery's architecture, "contaminating" the space.
