Josef Frank (1885-1967) was an Austrian-born architect and designer who lived in Sweden. Around 1928 he designed the textile pattern "Aralia" with big flowers which was bold at the time. Josef Frank designed more than 160 textile patterns for the Swedish company "Svenskt Tenn".

"Aralia" has been the inspiration for the planting design by Ulf Nordfjell at the bottom of the photo. Planting and exhibition in the sculpture park of Millesgården, a museum with sculptures by Carl Milles (1875-1955).
