Trondheim Storehouses I

Mostly old storehouses in Bakklandet, converted to housing or offices.

The Trondheim settlement was founded in 997 as a trading post, and it served as the capital of Norway during the Viking Age until 1217.

Great fires have ravaged the city several times. The 1651 fire destroyed 90% of all buildings within the city limits.

Eventually flammable goods were forbidden in the storehouses near the city centre. Storehouses were then built on the other side of the river, in Bakklandet.
