Lunchtime
A Royal Tern stands in the surf with his lunch. I like the tight zoom because of the bird's expression and pose, but what you can't see is that it is part of a group of about 20-30 other birds and that it had been walking around "bragging" about its lunch by getting in the faces of other terns. I have no idea what this behavior would be called. Maybe it was a display of dominance or maybe it was just narcissistic (if that it possible for a bird).
