Teragrid

The National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded TeraGrid: an excellent, high return investment of your tax dollars.

 

Each location is a major center for high performance computing (HPC), which includes the application of supercomputers. The ribbons represent a dedicated network, or grid, connects these centers together.

 

Any academic researcher, and their students, can becomes users of the Teragrid for free. They may request an allocation via the TeraGrid User Portal:
