Monyash shelf cloud, Peak District.

A lowtop HP super-cell over Derbyshire, England.

Not something that I thought I would ever see, this is the shelf cloud at the core of the system last night (13th Sep) where the warm updrafts and cold downdraft take place; along with a lot of rain, hence 'HP' (High Precipitation).

 

This is a 6 image stitch using Nikon D750 with a 14 24mm f2.8 lens.
