Being a lighting designer, Rob works the light to perfection in every shot. He seems to have the very light of the sky under his command. This is one of my favorites of his because of the atmosphere he has captured, alone but not lonely. Free to go as far as the eye can see. I'd be signing at the top of my lungs if I were there (don't worry, I have a very nice voice!!).

I love the focus on this image. Sometimes what sets an image apart from all the rest are the small details, the things that people don't even know they are seeing. It would be very easy to see this photo with the focus on the wooden post but what makes it, in my opinion, is the tiny focal point on the metal ring. The shadows and directional light only serve to make this image better!!

I love how in this image, Jim has captured the mystery. It has a very short plane before the path turns and is concealed from view. The expectation is heightened in a way that wouldn't be the same if he hadn't composed it this way. The colour and light along with that make this one of his very best!

I visited York both times I was in England and strolling down this street is one of my fondest memories. John has captured the tourist spot and showed it as a local would see it, near desserted and quiet. I love the sense of the beginning or end of the day in this image! Plus, how awesome would it be to be flickring there!! : )
