When you look at me that way, another piece of my heart is gone.

This is a beautiful blue roan wild horse, now captive at BLM's Broken Arrow facility.

I briefly caught this glimpse of him, as the wagon we rode in, quickly passed him by. He seems to question what we are there for, maybe to take him home? His hopes sorely diminished in the fleeting moments racing by him. I think he could sense, that we were not about all this pain & suffering, and maybe, just maybe we could help him.

My girlfriends little four year old grand daughter looked at this image, and exclaimed, "He looks sad". ; ((

How I wish I could have returned him to his wild freedom on the range. ; ((

Help stop the roundups, the persecution of America's wild Horses & burros must end. In the meantime, adopting one of these beautiful spirits is an option, even if you don't have room at home! Its doable!

I rescued/adopted a wild mare, a medicine hat paint from BLM. Its one of the best things I ever did in my life! She is living free again at The Wild Horse Sanctuary in Shingletown,California. I am forever grateful to Diane Nelson & the board of directors for accepting her, as the sanctuary is always full. You can sponsor a horse at the sanctuary if you wish to help in the care of those living there, FREE AGAIN!
