Mercury

This landed in our back garden recently, can anyone hesitate a guess as to who originally might have owned it and what it was primarily used for.

Perkins 4-99 diesel engine, Mk1 Transit gearbox, unknown chunky rear axle, ballast weights front (inner corners) and rear....god knows how much it weighs !

It's a mid 1960's Mercury (once of Gloucester) who I think were under the ownership of Dennis of Guildford at the time (so possibly produced there).

Looking for 4.5 x 9.00 tyres or any suitable tyre that is 9" inner diameter and less than 6" shoulder, and a Mercury badge....and someones nicked the brake master cylinder too !

Wife refuses to go shopping with me in it, until it has brakes....lights, doors, reclining seats, heater, heavily tinted windows and a Sat-Nav (whatever that is) !
