The lower portion and the bulbous body of this sanctuary lamp are decorated with repoussé and chased scallop shell and acanthus motifs. The rim is lined with acanthus gallery and applied cherub heads, from where thickened O-ring and ornate openwork chains connect to the upper domed shield, also decorated with conforming acanthus gallery and surmounted by a hanging hook. An oil glass cylinder nestles in the lamp holder.
