The household furniture of Bohol is known for blending quality hardwood, sturdy carpentry and whimsical design. This stool exemplifies the folk sensibility that has been evinced in Santos, altar furniture and other highly coveted objects from the island. This stool features a six-sided seat and curved cabriole legs. Carved in high relief around both seat and legs are oval “butones” or buttons that add a folksy decorative touch to the piece.
