Helping hand

Vehicle shortages in 1976 saw Tyne & Wear PTE hiring in a variety of buses, including six AEC Regent Vs (and a Leyland PD3) from OK Motor Services. These had previously come from West Yorkshire PTE (and Leeds before that).

410 (944 GUA) works in New Bridge Street West, Newcastle on 7 April 1976, passing a Bedford CF (on the road 1974-85) and two splendid clocks, both of which appear to survive today.

Scanned from a Kodachrome slide taken by the late Charles Dean, now in my collection.
