10203, the third of the EE Bulleid designed D16/2 type, is backing down onto an Exeter train on 16 May 1955. M7 class 0.4.4T 30249 is alongside and although both were withdrawn in 1963, the tank engine had a working life of some 66 years in contrast to less than 10 for the diesel.
