Bournemouth 71B
Merchant Navy class pacific 35015 receives an oiling before working a Bournemouth West to Waterloo train on 7 April 1953. Rebuilt five years later, it would, along with 35002, be the first pair to be withdrawn, in February 1964. They were also the only members of the class to end up in Yorkshire, scrapping taking place at Slag Reduction, Rotherham, an unusual destination.
Scanned from a 6x6cm size negative in my collection.
