The 2-BIL sets were superior in the toilet department than the 4-LAVs, having one in each carriage; 2017 was stabled at Horsham on 4 June 1963. Managing to survive long enough to receive TOPS class 401, the last ran in service in 1971, with set 2090 preserved.
