Waxwing, North Camp Station, Farnborough

It was a case of third time lucky with these fantastic birds. They'd been reported as visiting about a week prior and after a couple of days of rain finally the weather broke today and I was able to get down for a couple of hours. There were quite a number of other photographers there, and it was great to finally meet a couple whose work I've admired on flickr, namely Aaron Gee and Mark Slokey. About a minute after I arrived the waxwing dissappeared, but after a downpour they returned and stayed for a good while, so I was able to get some nice shots at very close quarters.
