First Light
It's not been a vintage Autumn so far in terms of ideal conditions. With nothing but rain forecast for the whole weekend I treated myself to a lay in on Saturday morning. I arose at a leisurely half 8, looked out the window (force of habit) and couldn't believe my eyes. A thick fog, a 'pea-souper'! I rushed into the shower and out the door, feeling bitter resentment for the forecasters at BBC Weather! Getting increasingly frustrated with them, so often they forecast mist when there never is any, and on at least a couple of occasions now they've made no mention of the M or the F word, and I've woken up to a beautiful misty morning.
Thankfully, yesterday it was the kind of fog that lingers, and I was able to spend an hour or two in this local beech woodland, and managed to come away with a few nice ones.
