The Doric Doorway! Thursday Door Day

One last look at Maryborough, Queensland - they just don't build banks the way they used to. I imagine our forefathers would be nonplussed to say the least to know that so many of their wonderfully grand banks and banking chambers have been replaced by, at best, Automatic Teller Machines or binary bits of almost invisible technology. From columns to cashless. I haven't looked up which bank this was, but the Commonwealth Bank in days of yore was rather partial to palatial so I suspect that is what this one was. Seems it is now a charitable help centre, I doubt the banks would know what lending an emotional hand up even meant.
