Flat Deco
Most people who follow me know I serve up a bit of a mixed salad of shots coming from my rather catholic choice of interests and subjects. Today is no different with four shots, about the last from our country drive to Toogoolawah in the Brisbane (River) Valley earlier this year.
I rather like Art Deco design and this old urban block of flats, no doubt made from asbestos cement sheets or fibro as is the common terminology in Australia stands in a Toogoolawah back street. Despite its rather austere look, enough Art Deco showed through to capture my attention.
It was probably built for local rural or timber mill workers back in the period and still has welcome across its old walls.
