Mass attack. Noisy Miner vs Kookaburra.
Just a quick jump to the left away from our holiday series to show this poor Kookaburra under attack on a neighbour's roof recently by Noisy Miners. The Noisies won as they were not happy with the Kookaburra in their territory.
This was the news this morning on the ABC Online news - they have become a real environmental nuisance despite being a native species, of course, helped a great deal by human transformation of the environment. They have certainly wiped out Sparrows in Brisbane, a bird that was itself considered a great nuisance when I was a kid.
