Colourful Clarence

Thirteen years ago, we stayed for a short holiday in Yamba on the Northern Rivers Coast of New South Wales. We had already fallen in love with it by then and have been back quite a number of times since. Despite a rising population it is still a beautiful place and area.

In 2009, we had a spectacular sunset, the photos of which I still regard as the best I have ever taken*. They were all straight out of the camera and taken on the Clarence River, just like this one today of another at the exact same location and time (on an iphone as we were walking back from dinner, only sharpening and frame added in post).

The smoke in the background will be from sugar cane being fired before harvesting.

As the owner of our accommodation remarked - it's Yamba time!

* See my album on Yamba, it was even redder and better that day.
