Contemplating the future.

The amount of street art of various types in Cairns is mind boggling but you would have to live there for a considerable time to search it out and see all of it. Much stretches out into the suburbs and adjacent townships.

 

This one is called "If we lose the reef, we lose ourselves" by Claire Foxton on Grafton Street in the city. It is a portrait of indigenous elder, community leader and activist, Henrietta Marrie.

 

Perhaps I should have cropped out the extension of the building on the left, but ah well, it kind of aids,perspective!
