The climb!
Just to put those steps we climbed yesterday in context, here is a shot across the Brisbane River of the downstream end of the Kangaroo Point cliffs. The steps are on the extreme right hand side of the frame....so it isn’t like climbing the Eiffel Tower. But, they are rather steep and it was one of Australia’s current run of extremely hot days, Brisbane has been in the range 33-34 degrees C so nowhere near as hot as our southern capitals but our terrible humidity raises the feel of the temperature by quite a lot. We used public transport to get into town and by the time we got home round 7.30pm, I was as wet through as I have ever been in spite of the air con on the bus.
Anyway, we try to make life go on and capture the opportunities when we can. Climbing those steps was a once off.
