Grizzard Residence

This was an exciting opportunity to design a modern home within the context of a neighborhood with strict design guidelines. The site sits on the edge of the river and the design attempts to maximize views at the rivers edge. The design reads as 4 cubic volumes intersecting around interstitial circulation space. The cubes are clad in Tennessee Field stone and true stucco. The interstitial space is highlighted by IPE cladding. The main living space is a double height volume and is a true cubic volume 24' w x 24'd x 24'h. This volume has a full glass wall overlooking the river.
