Richmond, BC June 6, 2012 – Tristan Klassen, Covenant House’s development officer (left) came to WorkSafeBC's Richmond office for the presentation of the $35,000 donation to his organization from Helping Hands. He is pictured with Yvonne Humphreys (right), president of Helping Hands, an employee-run program at WorkSafeBC that supports a wide variety of charities through staff volunteer payroll deductions. The Helping Hands donation will allow Covenant House to purchase a new, industrial, freezer helping to feed over 1,400 homeless youth who visit the home each year for shelter, food, clothing and counselling.
