Imperial Axis Entry - Galactic Marine Sharpshooter
From the moon drenched shores of Saipan III to the jungles of Tarawa, the Galactic Marines will be there to defend freedom against the relentless onslaught of the growing threat of the Cosmic Reich.
So for my entry I knew I wanted to create a figure with a custom blaster rifle, helmet, and cloth element. For the blaster rifle I cut up a BAR, and a dc-15s, to create the body, plus a custom sling attached at both ends. I took the scope from a heavy sniper rifle and slapped it on there for this long ranged variant. Then I painted the whole thing, including a fake wood grain on the stock, and some light gunmetal weathering because this Marine takes care of her weapon.
The helmet is a painted star wars rebel helmet with custom paint, netting, and a small white eagle emblem painted on the back. The web gear is just painted rifleman web gear, nothing too crazy here but I like the way it came out.
The tunic is one of my favorite parts just because I like cloth pieces. I just cut a piece of spare denim to fit it, then painted an "alien" Parisian on the back as art, because all marines love weird sexy alien art.
The legs are just tmc frogskin legs painted with some extra details like muddy boots and battle worn trousers.
