Week 8 of 52 Theme: "Motion" Pass Go, Collect $200
I saw someone do a "Dice Roll" shot a few years ago and thought I'd finally try one myself as I wasn't able to get downtown for my original idea of a "motion" shot.
I used a two light set up for this, at camera left was an LED flashlight taped to a tripod which provided the light for the "roll" and at camera right I had a bare YN-560 zoomed to 70mm at 1/16 power to freeze the dice in mid bounce. The flash was triggered using a Cactus V5 wireless transceiver. Shot with a 50mm f/1.8 at f/13 and 0.4 sec exposure on rear (2nd curtain) sync.
