Umio Crossing

This photo was taken near Keikyu Namamugi Station. Six JR tracks and two Keikyu tracks exist on the ground here. The JR tracks part is called “Umio Crossing.” The six tracks make a rather long path, so the crossing is divided into two: a crossing with four tracks and a crossing with two tracks. In this picture, four people are waiting in “safety zone” between the two crossings.

 

But the path seems still too long. Recently, a tragedy had happened here. An eighty-eight year old man could not reach the safety zone and hit by a train. We need to fix this problem.
