Odakyu “F-Train II” Arriving at Higashi-kitazawa Station
The train is Odakyu F-Train II. “F” means Fujiko F. Fujio, a well-known comic artist. What are painted on the train are characters from his comics.
There is an interesting story about the first F-Train. Odakyu started the first F-Train in August 2011, one month before Fujiko F. Fujio Museum opened in Kawasaki. The problem was the wrapping was considered a large outdoor advertising inhibited by Tokyo prefectural ordinance. F-Train had to finish the train at the end of September 2011. In July 2012, Odakyu re-started the campaign, with smaller characters painted.
