Shumoku-bashi Monument
This photo was taken at the south end of O-yokogawa River Park. This is a monument of a bridge called “Shumoku-bashi.” “Shumoku” means a wooden bell hammer. The name came from a bell beside the bridge. It used to tell craftsman the end of the day’s work. So, the monument was made in the shape of a bellhouse.
