Where Old Egasaki-kosen-kyo Existed

This spot is near the south end of old Shin-tsurumi Rail Yard. The photo shows a temporary bridge in a construction site. Before this bridge was built, there was an old truss bridge over the rail yard. It was quite an interesting bridge. When it was built in 1929, two railroad truss bridges were moved from the Sumida River and the Arakawa River to here. The bridges were originally built by English companies at the end of 19th century. I found a photo of the bridge in wikimedia commons.

The bridge was removed in 2009. So I lost the chance to capture it. Too bad.
