Road along Old Shin-tsurumi Rail Yard

This photo was taken on a bridge over Shin-tsurumi Rail Yard. That is why the road goes up toward this place.

 

Shin-tsurumi Rail Yard was the largest freight yard in the East. But it was shrunk when freight traffic went down in the second half of the 20th century. The large empty space along this road was a part of the rail yard.
