A Spot That Was Reported Nationally

After the accident in Fukushima Nuclear Plant, many people wanted to measure radioactivity in their environments. Someone found unusually high radioactivity at this spot, more than 10 times higher than permissible limits. The report made national news. At first, we suspected cesium from Fukushima condensed at this spot somehow. But soon we found that the source of the radioactivity was old bottles. They contained radium.

A few weeks later, we found another spot with high radiation level, about 4km north from this place. The source was radium again. It seems we have forgotten pieces of radium here and there.
