Ayase-bashi and Shutoko No.6 on the Other Side of the Sumida River
There is a bridge under the expressway on the other side of the river. The waterway over which the bridge exists is the Old Ayase River. It is a short river of which length is only 450m. When the current Arakawa River was created as a drainage canal, the last part of the Ayase River was divided by it and became a waterway connecting the Sumida River and the Arakawa River.
