The station’s name “Shijo-mae” means “in front of market.” Tsukiji Fish Market is going to be moved here. But there are strong objections against the plan, because this place is polluted by benzene and some other substances. There once was a plant of Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. here. Tokyo Metropolitan Government argues that they can remove the pollution and there will be no problem. I do not know how many people agree with the opinion. It sounds like what Japanese Government said about the nuclear plants.
The cylinder-shaped building is Shin-toyosu Substation of Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc.
