After I took the photo shown in “Short Bar at Hachiman Railroad Crossing,” I waited until the gate was closed, and found that the bar is long enough for this narrow road.
There are two possible pronunciations for this crossing: "Yawata" or "Hachiman." It seems that "Hachiman" is correct here. I found that there was a village called "Hachiman-zuka" in Meiji Era. (added on 2012/3/29)
