Intersection at the West of Shin-tokai-bashi

Recently, a road with heavy traffic usually has an additional lane at an intersection. Additional lane is used for cars turns to the right, so that the waiting cars would not block the traffic. I do not remember when this kind of improvement appeared.

 

The center divider shows an interesting curve to make the waiting lanes wider.
