The bridge across the railroad is called “Sarugaku-hashi.” It was built in 1934.
Shibuya Ward Office plans to replace this bridge, which is more than 90 years old. Construction can only be done for a few hours at night when trains are not running, so the new bridge will take 10 years to complete. During the construction, the road will be closed. The replacement work is scheduled to start after 2026.
