JR Chuo Line E233 Series Train and 209 Series Train Passing Each Other at the West of Nakano Station 7

Two 209 series trains were introduced to Chuo Line in March 2019 to replace E233 series that was temporarily withdrawn while being modified for 12-car operation. With the conversion of the E233 series completed, 209 series trains had retired from the Chuo Line in September 2024.
