Apartment Buildings in Shimo-maruko

These apartment buildings are standing in Shimo-maruko, near Canon headquarters office. Where they are standing is “super embankment.” It is much wider than normal embankments, so that any flood would not destroy it. To make a super embankment, the government office makes people and companies move, then, raise the ground. Finally a new town is built on the raised ground. So a super embankment construction project normally includes re-development project. The apartment buildings are result of the re-development project in this area.
