Entrance of Inagi Yomiuri-Land-zaka Tunnel and Old Route of Tokyo Metropolitan Road Route 124
The branch toward the left edge of this photo is the old route of Tokyo Metropolitan Route 124. It had a steep slope called “Land-zaka,” which led to Yomiuri Land. The path was closed when the tunnel shown in the right half in September 2021. The new path has a big loop beyond the tunnel and the grade is much gentler.
The name plate above the entrance of the tunnel says “Inagi Yomiuri Land-zaka Tunnel.” It was named after the old steep hill.
