Musashi-kosugi No.1 Railroad Crossing
This crossing was called “Musashi-kosugi No.1 Railroad Crossing,” but this spot is much closer to Moto-sumiyoshi Station than Musashi-kosugi. The name just means it was the first railroad crossing from Musashi-kosugi.
On the elevated railroad above is Tokyu Toyoko Line track. The track on the ground is used by Tokyu Meguro Line. It could not be elevated because it was required as the entrance to the depot at the southwest of this spot. Instead, the road crossing against the track was being moved to underground. The construction machine in this photo was building the underpass. In 2024 July, the underpass was completed and the railroad crossing was terminated.
Photos of the crossing taken in 2011 August are shown in “Tokyu Meguro Line and Toyoko Line Trains at Railroad Crossing near Moto-sumiyoshi” and “Tokyu Meguro Line 5080 Series Train at a Railroad Crossing.”
